Trails: Rangitoto Island Islington Bay Wharf – Summit Road – Boulder Bay (Wreck Bay) Track (side track return) – Summit Road to Summit Lookout – Summit Track to Lava Caves Track (side track to the Caves and return) – Summit Track to Rangitoto Wharf via side track “Kidney Fern Glen” – McKenzie  Bay Road – Coastal track – Controlled Mine Base Track – Coastal Track back to Islington Bay Wharf via Yankee Wharf.

Alternative Trails: Rangitoto Island Rangitoto Wharf then take a loop track.

GPS: Set “-36.77832,174.89526” in your GPS. The ferry is about 30 minutes from Auckland Ferry Building. Park your car at Auckland city downtown Carpark. Booking your ferry ticket online can save $8 if you return back on the same day. Go to Booking online
Islington Bay Wharf: No food and water supply and Pest Free!
Public Toilet: Yes

The “Total Time” is my time in April which includes morning tea time and lunch time. That day was cloudy but the track was fine. If you slow down to average 2.8 km/h plus 60 min stop then the total time will be around 8:00 hrs.
