Trails: Dome Tearooms carpark – Dome Forest Walkway – The Dome Summit – Waiwhiu Kauri Grove – off bush 4WD pine forest road – Waiwhiu Rd – Cross Waiwhiu Stream into bush walk along the stream- off stream uphill to Totara Scenic Reserve – Junction of Link Track to Conical Peak Rd – 4WD road track – back to Waiwhiu Rd – back to Dome Forest Walkway.
Caution: MUST have very good navigation skill! Some sections on forest road (off Te Araroa Trail ) are overgrowing and no name and marks!
Car Park: Southern start at the Dome Tearooms’ car park, 7 km north of Warkworth on State Highway One.
Public Toilet: Yes, at car park.

The “Total Time” is my time in February which includes breaks and lunch time. That day was good but little bit muggy and the tracks were dry and good. If you slow down to average 3 km/h plus 60 min stop then the total time will be around 9 hrs.
