Okura Bush Walkway 1


Okura Bush Walkway is in the Okura Estuary Scenic Reserve, Okura Bush, Auckland.

Trails: Haigh Access Road road end car park – Okura Bush Walkway – Karepiro Bay to Dacre Cottage and the Long Bay Okura Marine Reserve – go to Stillwater via overland – Duck Creek Road car park – return to Weiti River estuary – go to Dacre Cottage via coast – keep on coast until see the “Low Tide Route” sign and step back on track – retrace back to Haigh Access Road car park.

Caution: This is a low tide only track.

Car Park: Yes, “97 Haigh Access Road, Auckland” road end on road parking. It’s about 30km 32 minutes drive from Auckland city. “1 Duck Creek Road, Stillwater, Auckland” road end car park.
Public Toilet: No on Haigh Access Road car park. Yes, public toilet on Duck Creek Road car park.
Weather: Check Weather and Okura River Tide time before you go!

The “Total Time” is my time in June which includes morning tea time and lunch time. That day was fine and the track was good. If you slow down to average 3.2 km/h plus 60 min stop then the total time will be around 5:30hrs.
