Note: Whakatiwai Track is farm road and quite boring. Workman Track is quite up-and-down. ***The section from Mt Workman down to Workman Road has been closed until further notice due to Kauri Dieback disease. There is a detour in place for this section of the track. Visit www.kauridieback.co.nz for more information.
Car Park: Yes. Whakatiwai Track East Coast Road car park. It’s about 80km and 60 minutes drive from Auckland city center.
Public Toilet: Yes, about 300m on track from car park.

The “Total Time” is my time in Feb. which includes morning tea time, lunch time and breaks. That day was fine and the track was good. If you slow down to average 2.8 km/h plus 60 min stop then the total time will be around 8hrs.
