Bluff Stream Track to Ananui Falls Track to Waitengaue Track to Waitawheta Tramway loop in Kaimai-Mamaku Forest Park


Trails: Franklin Road car park – go Waitawheta Valley – Bluff Stream Track – Ananui Falls Track – Ananui Falls – Waitengaue Track – Waitawheta Tramway – Bluff Stream Kauri Grove Loop Track – Franklin Road car park.

Note: Need cross river in water at least twice where there is no foot bridge. May deep and very cold in winter. Experienced tramper only!

Car Park: Set “214 Franklin Rd, Waihi” or “-37.46143,175.78089” in your GPS. It’s about 135km and 1hr 45 minutes drive from Auckland city center.

The “Total Time” is my time in August which includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea time. That day was fine but track was wet. If you slow down to average 3.5 km/h plus 90 min stop then the total time will be around 8:30 hrs.
