Zion Hill Track to Tunnel Point beach loop 5


Trails: Karekare Main Carpark – Pohutukawa Glade Walk – on beach – Tunnel Point and campsite – on dunes follow the bright red “Hillary Trail” signs – Pararaha Valley Track – Buck Taylor Track – Zion Hill track – Pohutukawa Glade Walk – to Cave Rock Track return back to Pohutukawa Glade Walk – carpark.

Car Park: Karekare Main car park. Set “2 Karekare Rd, Karekare” in your GPS. It’s bout 1 hour drive from Auckland city center.
Public Toilet: Yes
Weather: Check Weather before you go!

The “Total Time” is my time in August which includes morning tea time and lunch time. That day was fine and the track was good. If you slow down to average 3.0 km/h plus 60 min stop then the total time will be around 4:15 hrs.
