Hunua Falls Track in Hunua Ranges 4


Hunua Falls loop track is one of the most popular tracks in Auckland, New Zealand. It goes through the Hunua Falls Reserve, Cosseys Reservoir and Cosseys Dam in the Hunua Ranges. This Hunua Falls loop track is an easy 3 to 4 hours loop track, good for hiking and trail running beginner, and family entertainment.

Trails: Falls Road road end car park – Hunua Falls lower & upper lookout loop walk around the Falls – Cossey Gorge Track or Cosseys Gorge Track – Massey Track – Cosseys Dam – Cosseys Gorge Track – back to car park.

Car Park: Yes. Set “233 Falls Road, Hunua” on you GPS. Very good presentation board and public toilet there steps away from the car park.

The “Total Time” is my time in June which includes morning tea time and lunch time. That day was fine and the track was good. If you slow down to average 3.0 km/h plus 60 min stop then the total time will be around 4:15 hrs.
