Day two of seven days Travers – Sabine Circuit plus Blue Lake in Nelson Lakes National Park.

Note: Experienced trampers only! Upper Travers Hut may very cold when bad weather. River water is drinkable.

Car Park: No, Coldwater Hut is accessible by foot and water taxi.
Public Toilet: Yes.

The “Total Time” is my time in December which includes tea times, lunch time and breaks. That day was cloudy and drizzle. The tracks were wet and slippery and some sections were boggy. If you slow down to average 3 km/h plus 90 min stop then the total time will be around 8 h 45 min.
