This Hunua Falls – Cosseys Dam – Wairoa Dam Tracks loop includes the Cossey Gorge Track to Massey Track loop, one of the most popular tracks in New Zealand.
Trails: Falls Road roadend car park – Cossey Gorge Track – Cosseys Dam – Massey Track – Wairoa Cossey Track – Wairoa Dam Lookout – return back to Massey Track through Wairoa Cossey Track – Massey Track – Cossey Gorge Track – back to car park.
Car Park: Yes. Set “233 Falls Road, Hunua” on you GPS. It’s about 45km 45 minutes drive from Auckland city center.

The “Total Time” is my time in January which includes morning tea time and lunch time. That day was fine and the track was good. If you slow down to average 3.0 km/h plus 60 min stop then the total time will be around 7:30 hrs.

Very regretful! Why didn’t we get there – the Wairoa Dam?! That was not a Dam to Dam track! Must do it again!
