Te Araroa Trail from Dome Tearooms to Govan Wilson Rd: Dome Tearooms carpark – Dome Forest Walkway – The Dome Summit – Waiwhiu Kauri Grove – off bush private 4WD pine forest road – Waiwhiu Valley Rd – Cross Waiwhiu Stream into bush walk along the stream- off stream uphill to Totara Scenic Reserve – Junction of Link Track to Conical Peak Rd – Private 4WD road track – Govan Wilson Road.
Car Park: Southern start at the Dome Tearooms’ carpark, 7 km north of Warkworth on State Highway One. Northern end: Just before 285 Govan Wilson Rd, Matakana, 18km from Warkworth.
Public Toilet: Yes at Dome Tearooms carpark; No at Govan Wilson Rd.

The “Total Time” is my time in May which includes morning tea time and lunch time. That day was fine and the track was good. If you slow down to average 2.5 km/h plus 60 min stop then the total time will be around 6:15 hrs.
