The “Total Time” is my time in January which includes morning tea time and lunch time. That day was fine and the track was good. If you slow down to average 2.5 km/h plus 60 min stop then the total time will be around 6:30 hrs.

Issue: Some visitors complained that this track's "Total Time" may mislead readers. As I said in page http://nztramper.com/tramping-track-difficulty-rating/ this is a Private tramping blog. The "Total Time" is MY TIME. I did this loop in 4hrs 20mins with Jason and Fay at 12, Jan 2013. In January, track is dry and we ran down the hill. If in winter, must be longer than 5hrs! I've done this same loop without side track many years ago about 5.5hrs in winter. For most people without much tramping practice, 7 hrs is normal.
