Trails: Hakarimata Rail Track – Cascade Waterfall – Hakarimata Walkway (Waingaro Road entry) – Hakarimata Walkway junction to Christian Youth Camp – Hakarimata Walkway junction to Brownlee Ave through Waterworks Walk – Hakarimata Summit – return back the same way.
Caution: Exposed tree roots make the track very slippery in wet weather. In 2015, lots board stairs were built.
Car Park: Yes. Set “-37°40’40.03″, 175° 8’10.05″ or “212 Waingaro Rd, Ngaruawahia” on you GPS. It’s about 105km 1hr 15mins from Auckland city and about 25km from Hamilton.
Public Toilet: Yes (on track 1.5km from car park)

The “Total Time” is my time in April which includes morning tea time and lunch time. That day was cloudy and little rain and the track was wet. We ran down the hill. If you slow down to average 2.5 km/h plus 60 min stop then the total time will be around 4:45 hrs.
